On May 1st and 2d, the Chief’s Regatta went on as planned despite the gloomy-doomy forecast.
The predicted storms stayed off to the south, and we were able to get three races in on Saturday with fairly consistent winds about 10 – 15 out of the south, gusting to 20+, and without any rain. The weather continued to cooperate on Sunday morning when we sailed the fourth race in similar conditions.
Scott Savage was the first place winner – with a 1st in each of the four races.
2d- Jamie Jones
3d- Steve Aspery
4th- Hank Boisseneualt
5th- Dick Evans
Pictures to follow.
