July 2nd Thistle Day Recap

Saturday, July 2^nd saw 10 Thistles out on the water for the July 4^th competition at the club. The winds were beautiful and the RC got off three races in a nice south-south-west breeze.

Between races 2 and 3, the Interlake fleet provided Dairy Queen ice cream on the deck for all competitors. After racing, everyone in the Thistle fleet met up on the deck for refreshments and appetizers. It turned out to be a great day and everyone seemed to be having fun. Kit and Patty Holzaepfel won the day with 7 points. Paul Kreitler and Erin Sherer were second with 9 points. And Bob France and Tammy Chapman were third with 11 points. Great sailing to all! The current standings for the fleet are at the bottom.

The next Thistle Day is scheduled for Sunday, August 7^th.
